Delete your account.
The Phenom App, published by Phenom LLC. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete it yourself, from inside the app
Account deletion is built into the app. You do not need to email anyone or wait for us to act.
- Open The Phenom App and sign in.
- Go to your own Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom, to DANGER ZONE.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT, then confirm Delete.
Your profile and your sign-in identity are removed immediately, and you are signed out. There is no grace period and no undo.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, avatar, bio and any profile details you entered.
- Your sign-in identity, including your email address and password credentials.
- Every phenom you marked as including your voice or image, together with its video, telemetry and thumbnails.
- Your drafts and anything not yet published.
What is kept, and why
Phenoms you published and did not mark as including your voice or image are kept, but are permanently unlinked from you. Nothing in them identifies you, and there is no way to reconnect them to your account afterwards.
This is the disposition you agreed to in Section 8 of the Licence Agreement, and it is why the app asks you, at recording time, whether a recording includes your voice or image. If you want a published phenom gone entirely, mark it before you delete your account, or delete the phenom itself first.
Retention
Deleted records are removed from live systems immediately. Encrypted backups roll off on a 30-day cycle, after which no copy remains. We keep no shadow profile and no re-identification key.
Aggregate, non-identifying counts already published to the public sightings map — a hex cell with a number in it — are not personal data and are not reversible into your account.
If you cannot reach the in-app option
If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in to delete it yourself, contact us through the contact page from the email address on the account. We will verify ownership before deleting anything.
Full detail on what we collect and how we handle it is in the Privacy Policy.
